2005 Ford Mondeo ST TDCi from UK and Ireland
Some way off the outright pace of the ST220 (which I tried), but feels punchier on part throttle and in the higher gears

Mine has the massive 18" wheels that do kerb easy (watch turning into the kerb) but they look great and it looks nearly as good as an ST220 with its big front and rear bumpers

I wouldn't touch a diesel Ford personally ... The 1.6 and 2.0 TDCi engines used in the new Focus and C-Max are OK because they're basically rebadged Peugeot HDi units, but Mondeo diesels have always been troublesome ... If Ford had used the twin turbo V6 diesel from the S-Type Jag, that would have been a much better bet, as well as running the ST220 a lot closer on performance and refinement

Well I have just picked up an 03 Mondeo ST220 for £1600 ... I had never entertained the thought of buying a Ford, but when money became tight, and I was offered an ST 220 cheap, I took the offer
