No issues thus far.
Solara is a great car... runs smoothly, comfortable seating, roomy, big trunk, great features, easy to drive, easily able to view blind spots and rear of car... I got my Solara 3 months ago and recently someone rear-ended the car, but I had very minor damage--only a few scrates, no dents. The other person had a huge dent. I was convinced... this car is safe and reliable. Luv it!!
I briefly looked at the Solara when I was in the market for a sporty car last summer, but due to the fact that the Ford Mustang ranked higher in J.D. Powers rankings (it won tops in its class) than the Solara, and the fact that Consumer Reports no longer recommends the Camry (a 4-door Solara) or Tundra due to too many problems, I bought the Mustang. It is definitely faster, sportier, and after 11 months I couldn't be happier with it. Toyota needs better quality control if it is going to try to compete.
