"A high performance car with style"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing has gone wrong since I purchased this car. It could use some new seats and there is a small oil leak.

General comments?

What an exciting car! I can`t believe the handling from the Z-51 suspension package. The suspension is so stiff that you feel like you are in a race car. I read some specs for this car and it is rated at.95 G`s. A few minor upgrades to the engine have it running at the same speed as the 90`s Corvettes. A seriously fun car to drive and turns a few heads in the process. Was voted as the best performance car in 1984. I can see why. If you have a chance to get one of these you will not be disappointed.

My father bought an 84 vette two years ago, and we love it. I am only 15 and I have been turned into a car guy within two years because of this car. It has some awsome power under the hood, and it also grips the road with ease at high speeds. This is one of the greatest corvettes ever made.

I have a 1984 for 5 years now. I have done a few things to it and its true. I got rid of the crossfire injection and added a Performer rpm intake manifold, holley 650 cfm carb, took off the smog pump and put the belt straight, ram air holes added to the front of the radiator cover infront of the vette's hood if you noticed you jsut make the holes and the air comes right in and it helps a lot on top end, keeps it cool, I also did some custom work to the transmission, 96 rims 11 inches wide tires yokohamas 180mph rated, long tube headers, 2 3/4 straight piping with 2 borla mufflers on the back, K&N air filter, I polished and bored the heads, I am using the stock fuel pump and it works great. Just take off the fuel lines from the crossfire intake mannifold that send the fuel to the 2 injecters and connect them to the holley carb. I work at Auto Zone so I looked it all up off a 1969 vette holley 650 carb, the distributor is also 69, With a 20% discount I got the mannifold, distributor, cables, carburetor and k&N filter for only 487 bucks and the car runs awesome. Mesa performance engeneering did my heads for only $250 and they were nicely done. If you need and info just e-mail me to Alejandro52@msn.com or Grenadier36@yahoo.com. I am turning 19 and I got my vette right when I turned 15 for chrismas as a present from my grandfather and I love it. Future upgrade which working this week probably procharger were the smog pump use to be hehe.

I own an 84 vette and love it... I want to know how to get more power out of it? I thought it was fast in the begining, but I want to add upgrades. Its hard to because of the crossfire injection... What can I do to get the most bang for my buck... Is it easy to switch to carbs with the electronics???

I bought an 84 Vette with 48,000 Miles for $6,500... It is very clean and in great condition. I have had it for about 6 months and drive it as an everyday car. I have read reviews about this car being a piece of junk, but I just don't see it. This Vette has a lot of power and I have not had a problem with it yet. It gets lots of looks and respect on the street. I love this car and will keep it for a very long time. So if you are looking to buy an 84 Vette you should! Cross Fire Injection or not!!

Hi I bought an 84 about 2 years ago and love it! I heard they where junk, now I don't know what they where driving, but it could'nt of been one of these. I get a lot of looks and people askin me about her. One guy said it's a crossfire that's a shame. So I thought to my self OK while he was standing outside smokin his cigerette nailed the gas Well he no longer has that view!! Views are great, but better when you can change a negative one definatly when it comes to a vette. If there so bad how come no one can catch it or even run with it the handaling is awsome it has all the up grades that where avalible in its time, soon she will have her ground effects she already has the wing from factory The only thing I can say that's rough is the digital dash There beautiful at night, but the boards do get old and after awhile do need to be redone----C4.

Just bought a 84 Corvette for $2,000. The body is in great shape, but I have a small problem with the engine fowling out plugs and it seams to be overloading on fuel. I am completely ignorant to this car and engine. If any one could help me with this problem drop me a line @ lilcuntry101@yahoo.com.

I have got an 84 Vette and at first it ran kinda decent. Now it runs really bad, and sometimes will not run at all.

I realize giving $1400 dollars for a "Vette" is very cheap... and rare to say the least. I have nailed the trouble down to one of the injectors. I have no idea where to get another and at this point, really don't care. I have decided to do the un-thinkable!!! I am going to put an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on, followed by a trick Holley 750 double pumper I have built. Only thing is... I have heard that the transmission does not like this transformation and may not shift. Has anyone tried carbureting an 84 Vette lately?

Thanks and yes... these are fun cars to own and drive!
