"Great looking car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing yet, and I'm hoping it stays that way.

I haven't had it long, but noticed the steering wheel wobbles, it drives me nuts.

I read other reviews and have noticed it's common in a lot of 300Ms.

General comments?

Very good looking car inside and out.

Nice speaker system and comfortable.

I just want to know if anyone has figured out how to fix the wobble in the steering wheel yet.

I've never owned a Chrylser before, and I'm hoping I made a good choice.

I've heard that changing from Goodyear to Michelin helps, but heard it doesn't as well.

People try to allign or balance the tires and that doesn't work. I'm just wondering if it's something besides the tires, or if anyone has figured out how to fix this problem yet.

I purchased a 99 300m with 90000 miles for a steal. Inside and out was excellent. Ran great, but had some issues that lots of people are speaking about. The front end had a tie rod break with in the first month. The tires wore uneven. Replaced with a new set almost immediately after purchase. Since that time I need to fill the tires with air every so often almost like there is a problem with the tire not seeding to the rims properly (factory chrome rims). The air conditioner/compressor needed replaced $800 first hot spell. Rear passenger window motor broke. Passenger seat heating element not working all the time? Had an electrical problem where the lights inside and out at night would flicker causing the ABS brake system to not work properly and the Traction control to disengage. Took it in to dealer paid for computer hook up nothing found has not happened since? With all these problems which I attribute to high mileage I still enjoy the vehicle very much. It has great power and love the auto-stick option.

The most current problem I am encountering is terrible gas mileage about 16 MPG. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to improve that?

We purchased a 99 3 yrs. ago with 17K. Now has 93K with only one repair visit & normal maintenance (replaced one COP)

With the gas mileage issue, You could buy a K&N air intake, more power and better mileage, I love these things, I have an 03.

To the above post, K&N doesn't make a Cold Air Intake for the 1999's. In fact, I haven't found ANY company that does.

I purchased a used 99 at the beginnning of 2008 for a great price. I do, however have the same issue with the steering. I have replaced the tie rod and the steering rack; still hasn't fixed the issue. Car runs great other wise. Watch out on the rims though as they crack easily and will cause your tires to loose pressure.
