After 1 month, the transmission control module failed. I was then without the car for 1 month.
More transmission problems now continue. Told I will be without the car for at least 3 weeks while they dismantle the transmission piece by piece.
Car jerks when coming to a complete stop.
Car jerks when shifting from reverse to drive.
Passenger seat button broken.
Main cup holder faceplate fell off.
Battery cover broken off.
In the short amount of time that this car has been cooperating, it has been a pleasure to drive.

Yikes! Even my Dodge hasn't been that bad! How about an update -- you only had 8,100 miles on it when you wrote this...
My car jerks too - it's a problem that is known to Audi techs -basically they told me that if it doesn't get any worse, then it won't get any worse (go figure!!) but IF it does get worse, then a complete part change is covered by your warranty - they just don't like to do it, but they will, because they know of and acknowledge the problem.
It seems that your problem is with the dealer. I had the same problem with my A4. With just 13500 miles they had to change the transmission. But the dealer was so diligent, that I will still buy another Audi.
2004 a4 quattro sedan. LEMON! 5000 miles and the transmission began clunking. three attempts to fix it (over a month off the road!)..finally they replaced the entire transmission.. not very comforting.. they also gave me a kia to drive instead of loaning me an audi.. did not feel taken care of...
European cars aren't as reliable as Japanese - it's just something you have to live with, and besides, Mercedes are considerably worse than your Audi!
This is nothing new with Audi. Even they 2008 A4 is having some really bad reviews from owners. There something bad with the BOSCH components. My father had a 1999 A4 and it was the worst car in History, but not technically a LEMON.
