Wheel drum went at 85,000
Alternator went at 130,000.
My first '79zx turned heads and was fast. I was hit from behind in 1988 and had to junk the car. Someone got a good engine and some nice true spoke wheels. I have dreamed about owning another one. My dream came true. I will fly to Omaha to pick up my second '79 zx. It has 88,000,and has all the service records. I will drive it 988 miles to my home in Ga.
I know what you mean about the 280ZX. I have one. I bought mine from a Police Impound lot. It was an original owner vehicle; still has warranty papers on the Big O tires. It had many reciepts on all the work it's had done. It runs like a screamin' jet. It needs a wee bit of interior fixing-up, but the body is mint and mecanically, check this out... when I bought it, there was only 56,000 original miles on it. (Now there's 61,000.) It's Burgandy, with Burgandy interior. As much as I love it, due to certan personal/private reasons, I must sell it..."IF" and only if, I get the right price. Thus, upon seeing your post, I decided to send you this response and see if you'd be interested in making me an offer. I'm asking $3,250.00, and I also offer a limited 30 day warranty. You can reach me via email at: <iamwhiteplague@comcast.net>. I hope to hear from you. I only intend to sell this vehicle to those who truely convince me of their love for these great ehicles.
A few years ago one of guys where I work sold me a 1979zx 2 seater for cheap. I love this thing, it's a truly great car. Now he wants to buy it back. What do you suppose the odds of that happening are? 0.000%
