Re: Auction on Ebay, it's a common scam, they are usually after a cash deposit of $500 or something... If it's too good to be true, don't ever hand over a dollar until your sitting in the car and you've done a stolen check. $47K? Is that the going price now? How many K's had it done?

Hi, I'm a 20yr old mechanic and was very keen on turning my VN SS into a Group A mock up, but after reading all these comments, I think by the time I take it for the first drive after it's done, I won't be owning it for too long. Please advise me what you think I should do, probably just leave it as an SS? Or what is a real legend car that I can mock up that some cheapskate isn't going to try and steal!

Regards, Wayne.

Hi guys, just a quick reply to Wayne, if in all honesty you want to do your SS up as a mock Group A, how about saving the cash, doing your homework on what to look for ie. badge numbers, vin numbers etc, and just buying one. Not having a go at you mate but in general, it really annoys me these days to see so many wannabe Clubsports, GTS's and the like that it's driving the value of our much loved cars down. I've owned a number of HSV's over the years and it's something I won't do again in a hurry, they've made it to easy to purchase what you need to make a fake viable, you can purchase blank HSV build plates from ebay, as well as official HSV stickers, bodykits etc which are really hard to get from a dealer if you own one, that my 97 GTS build #015 was pretty much worthless when sold...

Sorry for the rant but just felt like explaining LOL.

Hope all went well with the search for the stolen cars guys, low lifes who steal these cars need their hands taken away from them.
