I currently own a 2005 Tiburon, and I was experiencing some of the revving problems that you spoke of. I'm not sure if you still own the car or not, but I figured that you may want to check and see if you have a throttle position sensor and check that. I had mine replaced, and since have had no problems. Good luck!
