Ignore the previous comment. The contacts in the ignition switch are bad. Replacement is indicated.

I have a 85 Grand Marquis TBI 302, and it did the same thing. The car starts and runs fine, but blinkers and blower motor didn't work, but if I twisted the key switch back towards the off position a little, it all worked. I replaced the ignition switch at the bottom of the column and problem solved.

Give the car a full tune-up, if you haven't already.
