Hyundai makes good cars now, but they really need to step up their dealership experience. It's not just getting warranty service performed; the general attitude and ambiance of the building and the staff can be summed up in a word as "sleazy".

My experience is different. On my second Hyundai and very satisfied. My siblings drive Toyota’s and older Volvo’s and are surprised by the many years and many miles I get from my cars. You can read my 2004 Elantra review titled “an unpretentious car that delivers”. Drove that car 8.5 years and only sold due to knee surgery that ended my happy manual transmission years. In 2012 I purchased 2007 Tucson 4 cylinder automatic from the dealer. Still driving now with 127,500 miles. Love it, but underpowered when I have passengers. Love its solid feel and high clearance to get my kayak all over mountain roads of New England. No rust on either vehicle cuz I take 10 minutes to wash the salt and grime off when necessary.

Sometimes I think the demographic of some who buy Kia or Hyundai prevents the owner from putting the cash into the vital steps of maintenance. Low car payment does not mean zero dollars for proper maintenance.
