Yep excellent car. I even bought a Suzuki SV 650. I was commuting to WV from Ohio twice a week for a year or more. No problems whatsoever. Got a cheap Chevy Silverado and gave the car to my mom. She loved it so. I actually borrowed it for a couple months because my airport does cheap commuter flights and the Silverado is horrible at turning so parking sucked. Still working flawlessly.

I used the SV to keep mileage off the truck. I put 9k in a year to a year and half on the SV. Same old Suzuki durability. Never put it on a tender, just fire it up and let it idle for 30 minutes every month or so. It also experienced a lot of weather.

Yes, it's a shame that Suzuki struggled during those years, but it seems that they might be one of the most financially stable manufacturers world wide. I think they remained in the black when others were in the red. That car was and still is excellent. I never had any recalls done to it, because I was always getting the notification later due to traveling all the time and I sort of didn't want to mess with success. It has never malfunctioned except for a battery that went out in the weirdest fashion. I have never seen a battery that would be fine for a few days then be bad again. I thought it was electrical. My batteries always got weak and chose to die in winter. It had a window switch stop working, but now it's working again so I guess it's good. That's pretty much the only problems in 10 years of use. It's only at 150k roughly, but that's because I got the motorcycle and then a truck and put miles on them instead.

The biggest complaint and partially why I chose to use the truck instead was comfort and not because of the seats or anything. The vast space in a full size truck is less smothering, better storage, and the biggest thing was other vehicles. In a full size truck SUVs aren't as likely to crowd you, and if they instigate an accident you will like fare better than them. The main factor though is that thanks to crossover galore, everyone has LED lights and fog lights that shine straight in your window no matter the distance, and the side mirrors, which are massive on the Kizashi. That was one of the most irritating things about driving that car. Between space, size, and being above the SUVs LEDs, the truck was just more relaxing.

Mind you this is almost a non-issue for 20 minute drives, but stay in there for 3+ hours and those things start pissing you off.
