1989 Chevrolet Lumina Euro review from North America

Since I had it starting in June 2005.

Cosmetic:

Interior is starting to wear away (probably my fault, but hey I'll list it. Seat cloth starting to rip and the plastic is starting to crack and break.

Glue on certain parts, especially on the doors and dash, is failing.

Ceiling cloth drapes down a little.

Body of Car:

Paint is cracking and fading in many places.

Rubber moulding is starting to leak, crack and come out. The spoiler (if you can even call it one) is almost completely faded to white (the car is red)

Back window leaks.

Mechanical:

Full brake system replacement - Brake lines, master cylinder, all four rotors, pads, calipers, etc. (pads and rotors replaced a couple times)

3 coil power coil replaced.

Distributor cap.

Full tune up... hoses, belts plugs, wires, etc.

Full exhaust plus catalytic converter.

Front wheels - passenger side axle, both wheel inner and outer tie rods.

Driver seat belt locked.

Replaced ignition cylinder and switch.

Wiper motor replaced.

Trans fluid and filter replaced long after it should've been (previous owner who owned it since 89 never did it) successful, THANK GOD! :)

I'll update if more comes to mind.

Great car to drive and very fun to drive and race it... but a horrible car when something goes wrong. Not greatest car to park in a parking lot; it's long and wide.
