2002 Jaguar X-Type review from North America
"Reliable vehicle with no major problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Owned this car since Practically brand new Purchased it as an off lease vehicle.. haven't had problems except 2 minor problems which everyone escalated into something death defying oh you need a new motor.. here is the faults.
Ran fine till about a year ago I had the following pop up
immediately after car was started
"Engine Failure" with 3 seconds later "Gearbox Fault" vehicle went into limp mode... after a few small tests I found the battery went UNDER 11 volts which I know with Jag engines/computer's isn't enough, Purchased a new battery all errors disappeared, until today that's the ONLY actual problems I had aside to general maintenance.
Vehicle is solid and won't change to a different car any time soon.
For aesthetics there are a few minor parts that refuse to stay in place like the metal plate on the dash for the windshield defrost and 2 small covers just under the headlights that's about it.
