1999 Toyota Prado Snowy review from Australia and New Zealand
"Great all round work horse, with very comfortable driving position"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear bench seat cable nipple parted, no fix via Toyota!
Managed to create new nipple & silver solder on to cable in car, still working fine after 3+ years.
Toyota offered complete seat slide unit at $350 would not consider Free Of Charge replacement, left a sour taste, so instead of upgrading to new Prado purchased an Astra CDTi for wife, but am still very happy with Prado performance.
General comments?
Great all round unit, even with full passanger load (8)& roof rack full of "stuff" dosn't miss a beat.
Keep looking at new Prado Diesel Manual GXL, but just can't justify upgrade cost as this 7 year old Prado still fully satisfies my needs for transporting vistor's & towing 5.5 mtr Ally Plate Boat.
