1996 BMW 3 Series 328is review from North America
"Good car, but there are better ones out there"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator broke causing the headgaskets to blow around 80,000 miles. headunit to the $1300 6 disc cd player broke. Window was glitchy (when I would try to roll it down it would stop at random and go back up).
General comments?
This is an overall good car. My uncles 540 radiator broke on his bmw also, which makes me wonder if that is a common issue. Other than that and the radio it held up good for 10 years. Had good power and suspension. My only other gripe is that the gas mileage was very poor in the automatic. I had to try to really hard to get 20 mpg on premium gas. That was my final straw so I traded up for a civic, which with the same driving gets 37 mpg.
