1997 Mitsubishi Lancer GLX review from Lithuania

Front oxygen (Lambda) sensor broke at 140.000km, only original Japanese fits, Italian not matching due to different working mechanism. Original Japanese quite pricey.

Back oxygen (Lambda) sensor got torn out from the exaust pipe at 160.000km when drove car over a larger stone.

'Autogas' LPG computer went mad when we had -25C at daytime (!) and could not be reprogrammed. Ordering from Netherland would cost too much, removed computer from the gas system and put manual regulator instead for 20EUR.

Regular maintenance (replacement of brakepads, oil, filters).

For the size of car 1.3l engine slightly little, however it is well engineered engine, with great pull for its size. Car quite low, which is an issue when travelling on rough gravel road or through large bumps (speedbumps) at faster speeds, as oil tank below engine and chassee can touch the ground. Engine absolutely reliable, car reaching soon 200.000km and still running nice and well, starts immediately. In general nice car, good in turns, and for a small engine quite jumpy. Of course do not expect it to zoom away when you puch the 'pedal to the metal' at 130km/h, it will take your car some 10 or more seconds to reach 140km/h, a setback of small engine :)
