2002 Nissan Maxima GLE review from North America

I have gotten very bad vibration from the speakers. They would rattle so bad that you could not even hear the music. In order to fix this problem you have to take apart the whole interior fabric and add some foam insulation around the sunroof.

I had problems with the brakes after the car sat for a whole rainy week. This caused rust, uneven brake force, pulling, rough stops, and bad vibration from the brake pedal and the steering wheel would also shake when I stop.

This was not the car I ordered from my dealer. I ordered a custom Maxima. About a week later the dealer called and said they found the right one which was about 200 miles away and they would pick it up and bring it to me themselves. On this car it did not have 2 features as it said on the sticker. Nissan agreed to install those features with no charge. It took this dealer over a month to schedule the installation. They kept the car about a week and gave me a free Altima rental (I loved it). When I went to pickup my car they never even did the installation, and plus they broke the automatic gear shifter and I had to wait another 3 weeks because they had to order the part and do the installations.

Now I have a Toyota Avalon (since 2005). I would have got another Maxima and I was happy with that car, but I always had to fight with Nissan to get what I needed and to get problems fixed. Until they improve their sevice and vehicles I will never buy another Nissan ever again.
