1998 Buick LeSabre Limited review from North America
"If you already own one of these, you will not find a better used car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
One ignition coil failed, due to to rust (my fault) at about 78,000 miles.
Leather driver seat torn.
Tires, battery worn out.
Rear window control module failed around 80,000 miles.
General comments?
Aside from regular maintenance items such as the battery, plugs, and tires, nothing ever went wrong with this car. Even the intake was good when I sold it.
Everything worked very smooth. I would be hard pressed to list any problems because there just weren't any.
The only "glitch" about this car is that on a fast acceleration from a dead stop, the car shakes and acts the same way that a clutch does when someone isn't good at driving one. This car has an automatic trans.
I sold this car because finances are/were very tight. It was a hard choice.
The very few things I had to do to this car were spread out over time so it is not like it needed everything at once.
If you are considering one of these cars, keep in mind that Buicks are popular with the older crowd so a LeSabre has probably not been abused.
