1989 SAAB 900 review from UK and Ireland
"Nice image vehicle which has potential to last and last"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought it with lots of problems on the cheap. These cars are not particularly more reliable than any other, it's just the body and platforms last forever so people are willing to spend a fortune on maintenance whereas an equivalent Ford with the same problem would be scrapped even though it would be cheaper to fix!
General comments?
Very comfy, long lasting and hard wearing.
Get one that's well maintained by an expert, not a bodger and it will last forever, but you will have to spend money to maintain it properly. If you don't want to spend money, get an Escort and suffer!
