2000 Peugeot 106 Independence review from UK and Ireland
"Small in size, big in personality and value"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Trim problems: Mostly coming loose and requiring re-attachment.
Fluctuating idling speed: This is inconsistent, and seems to depend on how the engine is started. Dealer said the electronics and ignition are fine.
Gear selection: Sometimes I can't select a gear, synchromesh seems a little weak.
General comments?
For a small cheap car I couldn't ask any more. She's quick, great to drive, reliable and cheap to run.
I was also in a nasty accident (front drivers side) and she was repaired very quickly. A very strong little car. You would never know it was damaged!
My dealer is excellent (they deserve a mention).
