1984 Dodge Lancer ES review from North America
"An excellent first car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tires.
Leak in Vacuum Booster.
General comments?
You wouldn't think Chrysler would have included so many features in a mid-range car. This car has a digital speedometer, Electronic Voice Alert, Trip computer, Leather Seats, Sunroof, power seat, power windows, power door-locks, and more legroom than a full-size Chevrolet sedan.
For a four-cylinder car, it's surprisingly fast.
The nice thing about it is it's one of those cars that don't look very fast, so you can zoom right past a cop and not get pulled over :-)
Very reliable, only normal wear and tear going wrong, and the car is 16 years old!
I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a sporty hatchback that can haul the whole family and still get 25 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway.
