2000 Holden Commodore VT II 'S' review from Australia and New Zealand

Windscreen seals lifting.

Very rapid tyre wear on edges - noticable at 4000km.

Airbag warning light keeps coming on.

Won't start every now & then. You must lock/unlock the car with the remote a couple of times to get it to work.

Door seals visible from the outside of the car.

Horn comes on by itself at 3:00am in the morning waking all the neighbours up. Had to pull the wires out from underneath to stop it.

Clunking in diff-since new, returned to service 4 times. Dealers say "what noise". Put in fully synthetic oil in gearbox & diff to try to stop clunking, now gears very sticky hard to change, noise in diff still there.

Leaking boot lid, if you open the boot after you wash it or rain water spills into the boot & whatever is in there. Very annoying!

Recalled for faulty headlight relay & fuel pump.

Very thin paint (tiger mica), chips & scratches very easy.

Worst car ever owned. Other owners say the same thing, similar problems. Very unhappy with dealers explanation of problems.

Very disappointing to spend $36000 on car to find it's a lemon.

Excel was much better value for $14000, hardly any problems.

Otherwise the car looks great, drives fairly well, but all the problems are a big turn off.

Thinking of selling & buying another model. Any recommendations???
