1984 Ford Courier XLT review from Australia and New Zealand
"A very reliable vehicle with almost an instant power response"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The electrics in the car caused the tail lights to continuously blow. This however may have been due to the age of the car.
The cooling system needed to be replaced at 200 000 kilometers.
The dash started to develop cracks soon after I obtained it.
General comments?
The vehicle is very strong and solid, with no rust.
The engine starts first go, even on cold mornings.
The gearbox and clutch have never been replaced, nor the engine rebuilt.
The ute has been very well looked after, and is shown by its age and condition.
The lack of power steering is a let down, especially when trying to move the ute in a tight area.
Overall, the interior is very spacious and the vehiclce is comforable to drive on long trips.
