1996 Mazda 323 GXi review from UK and Ireland
"A sexy reliable sporty head turner. A great pulling machine!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Having only had the car a few weeks I can't really comment. The only thing that I have a slight problem with is the central locking takes a bit of time to catch up with the key turn! Apart from that absolutley nothing.
General comments?
This car is one of the best handling cars I have driven. It hugs the road yet this does not compromise the comfort. Usually cars that are goods in corners are very bumpy once you get them on to a english road!
The engine is nippy, but does lack a bit of power in the lower revs. Once over 3000rpm though you are away. A power boost valve would probably sort that out though.
The interior is comfortable and kitted out! When crusing its very quiet as well.
Adding alloy wheels and a SMALL spoiler (can't stand people who put huge wings on the back of cars) really makes the car looks sexy and sporty.
The 323 is also the easiest car I have driven. It is very relaxing, good performance and you know it looks good on the road. I am very happy with the way this car feels around me. Responsive, safe and good looking!
