1994 Mazda 323 F review from Spain
"Very reliable, good performance hatchback"
What things have gone wrong with the car?

General comments?
This is the second Japanese car I have owned. Both have been utterly reliable. The first had no problems until the last 6 months of ownership (by then 8.5 years old). The second is now just over 8.5 years old, has cost nothing in terms of faults and continues to run faultlessly.
I will almost certainly replace this car with another Japanese product and am currently considering another Mazda 323, Toyota Corolla or Nissan Almira. I had been looking also at the Peugeot 307 but, though it is a very well fitted car which is good to drive, I am worried about its reliability, particularly in the longer term. Peugeot generally figured badly in the last "Which" car test report (1 in 12 had breakdowns in the previous 12 months) compared with Mazda's 1 in 100 and Toyota and Honda at 1 in 50. I would be interested in the Honda Civic, but this is not available in Spain in automatic form.
