1997 Ford Ranger XLT review from North America
"This bad truck eats those little street racers for breakfast!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced the air-conditioning refrigerant that eventually leaked out (around $20 with a do it yourself kit).
Passenger side power window is slow when being rolled up.
General comments?
Awesome Truck! This baby will boogie down the road! It has more than enough power thanks to the 4.0 V6.
This is a great truck with a very comfortable and plush interior.
The extended cab has two fold down seats that are not very comfortable for long rides unless used by a child or a small person.
Overall, the Ranger XLT extended cab is built well, and looks like it too. It is a tough truck!
The only downside to this model is that most accessories such as wrap around grille guards, are very hard to find. Almost every accessory is available for the 1996 and older, or the 1998 and newer models, but not for the 1997 model.
I love this truck!
