1998 Nissan Sentra GXE review from North America
"You get your money's worth with this car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The alternator went bad around 60,000 miles, it costs me $40 dollars to get that alternator rebuilt and my uncle changed it for me. Then my windshield wiper arm wore out the ridges to moves it so on a very snowy day it just hung off the front of the car it wouldn't move back so I had to replace the whole arm. It costs me about $100.00 the labor alone was $79 dollars so the part was about $30 dollars.
General comments?
I bought this car used and this is my first car even my insurance premium is low compared with other cars of the same year. I financed the car for two and a half years. When I replace it with a new car it will be a newer Sentra may be 2001. I'm very happy with my car besides those two things everything else I've done to it is maintenance and that's with every car, the bad things of it is that it takes the car a while to pick up the speed and that's only because is a small engine, like when I try to get on the highway and things where you need to quickly speed up, but once is there it runs smoothly. the interior of the car it still in perfect condition the paint is also in very good condition except for a little hail damage. I think it has a very good size interior, I'm a girl so I don't need a lot of room.
