1993 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"Great deal for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The crank sensor was the first thing to go. Driving down the road or just setting at a red light, the car would shut off. It was only $15.00 and 20 minutes to fix it.
The air conditioner has to be recharged every summer, there does not seem to be a leak that anyone can find.
There is a big noise when you first start the car, 4 mechanics cannot find out what the noise is, possibly in the passengers side air bag.
The transmission slips. I put Lucas transmission in the car when I first bought it and for the first year, the transmission didn't slip. Since that time I have to put it in there on a regular basis. Now it is having a hard time going up little hills.
General comments?
Overall, for what I paid for the car I have been more than satisfied. I have not replaced lots of parts on it just trying to baby the ones that I have.
The interior is still good and the sun beats on it constantly. The back seat of this car is big enough for a small family to live in... The trunk is gigantic.
The car handles well, no problems in the rain or snow. Will get up and go (other than transmission) when I need it to.
