2002 Chevrolet Impala LS Sedan review from North America
"A great car with some major suspension problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have replaced the alternator three times, at 10,000 miles, at 21,000 miles and at 34,000 miles.
The entire front sub chassis was replaced at 28,000 miles. The dealer indicated that most of the police Impalas had the sub chassis replaced. I have brought the vehicle back 3 additional times for front end clunk.
The radio was replaced twice. The radio controls the entire computer system in the vehicle.
General comments?
I think that I might have a lemon.
The vehicle is extremely comfortable. On long trips, the seats are comfortable. The air conditioner and the heater are excellent.
Mileage on this vehicle is excellent. On a recent trip, we averaged 33 mpg at 70 mph.
The body, engine and transmission are excellent. I have experienced no problem with these major components.
