1999 GMC Sonoma Timberline review from North America
"Bonified Garbage"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Where to Start...
- 3rd door handle
- Seat adjuster
- Window Seals
- Mirror Switch
- 3rd set of oil cooler lines
- Power steering lines
- Full rear end ($2100.00)
- Transfer case (2k)
- Clutch is gone at 115,000km (I know how to drive)
- Paint chips easy
- Power steering sluggish
- Oh ya... Tie rods, Idler arm & ball Joints!
General comments?
Well from the above list you would think that I am an hard driver! This truck is used as a daily driver and does not have a hard life. It has been in 4x4 a handful of times, and never "rednecked". I have owned Toyota pick-ups and have beat the crap out of them with no issues from diffs, tranis, clutch or t-case. Basically let GMC build real trucks ie. 2500HD The sonoma should say Pontiac 4x4, basically a car with a box on it. GARBAGE.
