1999 Hyundai Accent GSi review from North America
"Great car for students, I absolutely love it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing major.
Just recently put new winter tires on because previous owner hadn't changed the tires.
Needing new C/V Boots which came to about 200$ CAN
General comments?
I totally love this car, it is great for a student or a couple looking for a great economical car.
I am a current high school student and I've been looking for a great first car that won't cost me much to repair and much to put gas into, considering my family has 2 other cars, both Pontiac's and it takes 46$ CAN to fill up. My Hyundai Accent GSI takes 26$ CAN to fill up and last 300kms a tank. To me that is superb.
I love the comfort level on this car, many people say it's too small for comfort but what more do you need for such a reliable, subcompact car? Of course the back seat is a little cramped up but mine is a 2door and I expected the backseat to be a little uncomfortable for riding passengers but it's great for me knowing I'm not shuttling everyone around.
The interior of this car is great. My accent has nice cloth interior unlike some interior seating that you need to cover with seat covers, the dash board has a tachometer, speedometer, fuel level and temperature gage. I also have a command start and alarm system on my Accent. I have a new CD player basically everything I need in this nice little car.
My sunroof is superb. I see nothing wrong with it yet and I hope come the cold Winter here in Canada that nothing does happen to it.
