2004 Chevrolet Cavalier LS review from North America

Nothing so far, gladly!

I purchased a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier LS in late July 2004, and I have been enjoying it since. I was looking for a car that eventually will become my son's when he can drive, that has good driving characteristics, and a decent price. I test drove the Hyundai Elantra GLS and Suzuki Forenza LX and compared them with the Cavalier, as these three were the most likely candidates. I found that the Cavalier has well controlled driving characteristics, and steers very straight, as the Hyundai pulled a bit to the right. Also, the Cavalier has an ECOTEC 140-HP engine that is a bit above the HP in the engines of the other cars.

I narrowed it to the Forenza and Cavalier, and it came down to the price and features factor. I found that the Suzuki Forenza would come down to about $14,500 with rebates, and the Cavalier would come down to about $12,800 with hefty rebates and discounted money from my GM card. Obviously, the Cavalier had a notable advantage.

It has tremendous features such as Automatic Transmission, CD/AM/FM Radio, Cruise, Air, 60/40 Split Rear Seats, Power Steering, ABS, Traction Control, Remote Keyless Entry, and Daytime Running Lights. I feel very comfortable in my car,and it definitely has comparable features to other cars in this class.

I am very pleased with my purchase and have had no problems whatsoever to date. I am confident that this car will be had for years to come.
