1995 Toyota RAV4 GX 5 Door review from UK and Ireland
"An excellent little 4x4 which is great in town or out in the countryside"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery died at 60,000 miles.
Catalytic converter and exhaust replaced at 63,000 miles.
Brakes are due to be replaced, this will include disc`s and pads, also drums and shoes. (70,000 miles)
General comments?
The vehicle is quite quick for a 4x4 with good handling in any type of weather.
The vehicle is now 10 years old and the exterior is in excellent condition with only minor stone chips.
The exterior plastics are very tough, but need cleaning on a regular basis to reduce the chance of the colour going white/faded.
The interior is very good, nice amounts of room in both the front and rear.
The boot area is very good with large amounts of space for big loads. Ideal for anyone like us with dogs. We can fit for dogs in the boot with ease. If anyone is buying a Rav 4 for transporting the dog (s), then I would recommend a Toyota dog guard as this is a purpose fit item and is a safe way to move you best friend around.
If you are going to use the vehicle to go on holiday and wish to use a `Top Box` then again I would use the Toyota roof bars as these fit into the locator`s on the edge of the roof.
