1993 Buick LeSabre Limited review from North America
"The 1993 Buick LeSabre is for anyone interested in premium motoring at less than premium price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission failed at 160000 miles.
Water pump died at 145000 miles.
Brake rotors warped at 158000 miles.
The suspension got progressively softer as time passed. I replaced the front struts and shocks at 141000 miles.
The center console is very difficult to open up.
Some fuses have blown in the past. About 2 fuses have blow since I bought it.
Windshield washer fluid tank leaks.
The paint job really wore out badly and at 145000 miles, I had it repainted white (the original color was white).
General comments?
I love my 1993 Buick LeSabre.
I bought it for 1000 dollars in June, 2003.
The cloth seats are in upgraded trim. They have almost no wear after 170000 miles.
The V6 is super strong and boogies like a bat out of hell.
The ride is super smooth, but very responsive.
It carves mountain roads with the best of them.
The brakes are great and feel very confident in the rain.
Vision is superb from the front seat.
Being able to cram 6 people in it with seat belts is a great bonus.
The front wheel drive lacks traction control, but I never needed it. I drove it 140 miles in 4 inch deep snow and I got there alive.
My Buick is the best car ever and it pains me to say that recently it was totalled by a Toyota Sequoia driving ex-marine.
I have such a good feeling driving a Buick that I just bought a 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited and expect the same good time from it.
