2000 SAAB 9-5 SE review from UK and Ireland
"A very underrated car that is worth a look for anyone wanting an alternative to a BMW 5 or Merc E"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
O/S/R door lock doesn't work with remote. Have yet to get round to fixing it.
Had new front brake discs with last service.
Local SAAB dealer not as expensive as I had been warned!
General comments?
I'm very impressed with this car.
Very quick and reasonable economy at around 29 overall.
Extremely comfortable seats and I love the dash layout. Of course this is all subjective, but this car really appeals to me, both in it's looks and the fact that it's different from the crowd.
Most of my friends urged to me by a BMW or Merc, but I simply didn't want to buy into that stereotype.
The SAAB 9-5 has elegance and has been reliable in the 2 years I've had it.
A good replacement for my aging XJ6.
