2000 Hyundai Accent GL review from North America
"Good car for the money considering some on the road today"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car ran good most of the time I owned it and I have maintined it myself as I am a mechanic by trade. The brakes go a lot seems like there a little undersized. I am going to have to replace them for the third time at 70000 miles. The automatic trasmission failed at 60000mi and cost me 1900 dollars to have it replaced. After I got it back the check engine light was on and I brought it back to the dealer and they told me nothing was wrong so I looked into it myself and the idiot who worked on my car left the O2 sensor upluged. I would never go back the the dealer again.
I needed an alighnment at 45000 miles, but I drive hard so it was probably my doing.
The only other problem I had with the car is too many tune ups needed.
General comments?
Good little throw away car I figure Ill get another 6 or 7 years out of it anyway as long as the new tranny holdes.
