2005 Honda Jazz Gli CVT review from Australia and New Zealand
"Efficient and reliable, but not exciting at all"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front tyres are wearing badly.
Both front window washer jets have failed.
Rear window washer jet broken off.
Rear door lock does not unlock intermittently.
General comments?
Very economical, can do up to 5.3 L/100 km on regular unleaded.
Performance is adequate from the 1.3, and the CVT is quite responsive to driver input, although overtaking on hills under load needs some forward planning. I think the added power of the 1.5 would be unnecessary most of the time, especially considering the extra fuel that it uses.
I find the seats uncomfortable and unsupportive, and find my back hurts after medium to long journeys. No driver's foot rest is annoying.
Stereo is excellent for the money and equipment levels are also very generous. Cruise control is the only thing I would have liked!
Overall has been a satisfying and reliable car, but far from involving or exciting!
Cabin versatility is excellent and I have been surprised how often I have used the 'Magic Seats'! The car feels like a Tardis! It's amazing how much junk you can fit inside!
