1991 Chevrolet Camaro 305 V8

Summary:

Great American made car!

Faults:

The Camaro has been a great car, no problems.

General Comments:

I love this car, it's quick, looks great, and gets lots of compliments.

American V8 sound!

The car handles great!

Aluminum wheels look great.

Far superior to Jap-Crap!

Hauls ass down the freeway, goes 100 mph no problem, in fact 4th gear goes to 110-115 mph, and it's a 5 speed.

I totally agree with your comments! This car is awesome! I had a '91 also, but had to trade it in when my baby was born! If I had no kids, I still be driving that same car today! Just bought a Chevy Impala LS... great car, but just not a Camaro! BUY CHEVY!!!! Keep America in business!!!

1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS 3.1L

Summary:

Great reliable American horsepower - go Chevy

Faults:

Temperature sensor, easy fix.

T-tops leaked - expected.

Front brakes were always screwy, they're like that on my '86 Z28 too.

Transmission mount went, but again, same thing on my '86.

General Comments:

Great car, with the 3.1L it went 200k miles and kept running great, never leaked oil or smoked! I'd buy one of these again in an instant with the 3.1, don't ever get a 2.8L.

The car had plenty of pep, turned quite a few heads and was great with the T-tops off on a hot summer day.

Never stranded me. Handled great.

Own a 1991 Camaro RS, and it is unbelievable how the body can still look so good and run good with 160K miles, chevy did a great job with the 3.1 Liter which puts out a nice little push on the road!!!

Camaros are great cars, but you need a V8 like a 305, 350, or 400. People who like 6 or 4 cylinders, that's wrong, sports cars should have big motors.

1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS 5.0

Summary:

A good looking, high-performing piece of cheap crap

Faults:

Replaced the alternator 4 times, starter twice, and spark plugs twice.

Engine head leaks oil.

Engine burns oil.

Both window motors quit almost at the same time.

Front brakes locked up the DAY I bought it.

Brake lines replaced twice.

Red wheels turned pink within a week and replaced under warranty 4 times, now still pink.

General Comments:

Car is somewhat fun when running. GM puts together a cheap product that stands up poorly over time. On top of that, they refuse to fix the things that should have been done correctly from the factory. I visited three different dealers trying to get things fixed under warranty and got extremely rude treatment from each of them. Will NEVER buy another Chevy because of this. Would recommend you not buy one either.

I own a 1991 Camaro RS. I love my car! It has style, performance, and girls love it too. If you don't buy a Chevy and you like to represent your country (as in only buying American cars), what are you left with, Ford, HA! Wow, lets buy a Mustang! So come on, at least use some common sense.

Thank you, I say Chevy for life.
