2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS 6.0

Summary:

I think otherwise it's a great vehicle

Faults:

I bought my Trailblazer in November 2004 used from a dealer that I always buy my cars from. It was a company lease car for the previous owner. Three weeks after I bought the vehicle, the rear driver side window motor went out. 1 month later the passenger rear window motor went out,6 months later the shocks went out on the hatch and fell down on my then 2 year old daughter and knocked her into the truck literally. The dealer paid for each repair under the warranty. Now I have been having a problem with the truck not wanting to start. Can anyone agree as to how aggravating it is to get in your vehicle and t not start. I recently went to a funeral and here I am in the line to follow the family with about 10 cars behind me and it wouldn't start. Again the dealer can't figure it out because it doesn't happen when they have it. The lights work, radio works, gauges work, everything, but the dang thing won't start. I think Chevy needs to do a recall and see what the problem is being that I have seen on several sites where this is happening and most comments are on 2003 trailblazers. That could be a little clue Chevrolet!!!

General Comments:

I really love my vehicle if Chevrolet would get it together and find out what the problem is.

2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Summary:

Disposable!

Faults:

My 2003 Trail Blazer just started making this horrible noise, so I took it to the dealer and I was told that my fan clutch had come apart. Just out of curiosity I googled and sure enough found out that thousands of other Trailblazer owners have had the same problem. The dealer wants $935 to fix the problem. I was shocked! I am currently trying to work with GM to have the issue resolved under warranty, since the car has only 25 thousand miles. They need to recall this part!

General Comments:

Great car, but too many problems and recalls! I haven't met or heard of any Trailblazer owner that hasn't had problems with their vehicle.

Question to the reviewer: What other problems or recalls have you had? Or where you referring to other problems and recalls that you have read about?

I am glad I bought a 2004. I have read of many problems with the earlier years.

Give it time the 2004 model's still have fan clutch faults as do all most all trailblazer and envoy's.

Whats next???

Faults:

Fan clutch went out @ 50000 miles.

General Comments:

Car has been great. The morning the fan clutch went out, I remember telling my self, it is great to have a car that works without any problems. I guess I spoke to soon, b/c when I got in my car to go home from work I thought I had got in a Jet. It sounded awful. This is the first time I had, had a problem with My trailblazer. I was able to drive my vehicle home, but the whole time the "service engine light" did not come on. This worried me b/c I thought " I know there is something wrong with my truck, but its not telling me". Finally after about 50 miles later it came on. So I took it to get the diagnostic test and of course the code was PO 495...MY fan clutch was bad. So now I am in the process of fix it, and reading this page. SO whats next... water pump... thanks gm.
