2002 Jaguar X-Type
Good car, but starting to have electrical problems...
Rear control arm at 105k.
Replaced oil pan.
Great car, handles very good in the snow.
Everything was going good with car until now. I'm starting to have electrical problems; my doors won't open automatically, my rear turn signals are not working. I checked fuses, replaced the bulb, and also it keeps saying my rear door is open and the boot is open, when they are not.
I'm also starting to hear a whistling noise coming from the rear.
It's been a great car, but now these things are happening. I have a 140k miles on it, never had a problem, and now my alarm isn't working either. I'm thinking about selling it before anything major happens. Love the car, it's a shame this is happening, was planned on having it well over 200k. It still runs great, but the electrical problems are a pain to deal with. The interior lights start coming on while driving, and my engine light comes on and off... I don't know; maybe it's because it's over 10 years old???
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Find an independent garage or auto electrician. For such high mileage, it's impressive it's only started giving problems now. It may be something, which once fixed, will let you enjoy the car for longer. Perhaps Google for car blogs for your car; many participants are very helpful and knowledgeable.

No, not because it's 10 years old. It's simple, it's a Jag.

If it was because it's a Jag, it would've happened much sooner than that!
