2003 Peugeot 307 SW 1.6 petrol

Faults:

Engine overheating.

Roof upholstery coming unglued.

Carpets letting go from sides of car.

Sky window sticking.

Automatic gear fault.

General Comments:

Fabulous drive once working well - ie after you've spent about USD 1000 for service and repairs, but watch out after about 5000 miles, something else is going to go, and it's going to cost you, and the automatic gear fault is going to return.

2008 Peugeot 307

Summary:

I love the car but not the computer.

Faults:

Auto Gear Fault!!!

Problem solver put in a Nissan SR20decross bred that Peugeot. The car is faster, parts are easier "engine wise," and I don't have to use the high octane gas...

General Comments:

This car is seriously quick and handles like it is on rails.

2002 Peugeot 307 XT 2.0 petrol

Summary:

Very good,only a few glitches that's annoying

Faults:

The first thing I noticed that was kind of confusing was the car audio system, when I put the key in the starter and turn it to the battery mode and then press the on button on the radio it does not work at all, but if for some reason I take of the car and put back to the battery mode the radio suddenly comes on, sometimes not at all, it really comes on when it wants.

The next problem I am having is a slight indicator problem, when I tip it to the right it comes back of and I have not even turned yet.

General Comments:

The car is still really impressive to me because of it's control, stability, comfort and smooth ride.

2002 Peugeot 307 XS 2.O Litre

Faults:

The indicators and horn stopped functioning in the first month after purchasing the vehicle. The Dealer had to replace a Communication 2000 switch.

In the second month an exhaust emission message came up on the dash board. Again this was cleared by the Dealer. However the problem has continued over the last three and a half years. It is supposedly cleared by the Dealer's technician when the car goes in for service and it comes back up within two weeks. The last time the car was in for service, I was told that the injectors maybe faulty and would have to be replaced.

In the last year, the gears keep slipping when the engine is cold and an Automatic Gear Fault comes up on the Dash Board. The Dealer recommended that the transmission valves be changed. That was done, but the problem has returned once again in the last two months.

Two months ago when the car went into the Dealer, they have recommended that the engine valves need replacing.

The service level at this Dealer is poor and I am totally dis-satisfied with this vehicle and the after sales service. You have to make service appointments months in advance and the work is never done in one day and they do not even offer a courtesy vehicle, while they take 3 days to do what can and should be done in 1 day.

General Comments:

The 2.0 Litre engine version of this model is very quick and responsive. With the right size tyres the car handles well. The cabin could be more quite though.

2003 Peugeot 307 SW 1.7 Automatic

Summary:

A rough and uncomfortable drive

Faults:

The gears kick in quite rough. A very rough ride is experienced when gearing up and gearing down. I took the car into the dealer in Port of Spain and on three occasions they were not able to find any problems. Today March 23, 2004 I took the car in for the same problem and they found no problem, the car is still driving rough and the gear change is rough and uncomfortable.

General Comments:

The car has a comfortable interior and the customer service prior to purchase is excellent. The post sales service is poor and a rough ride for a car that is worth approx $140,000.00 (TT) dollars is unacceptable. Peugeot needs to identify the problem and fix it or replace the car. The vehicle was only purchased in July 2003. It is too early for problems like this.

I agree. Had my car since September 03 problem with the mileage. Swarf was found in the filters, despite having the fuel system replaced I am still not happy with the way the engine runs. I have complained about the suspension being very hard.

I own the Peugeot 307SW 2006 model. I bought it in Nov 2005. The car has nice features and is also a good looking car. Problems :- YES!

1. Low oil level after 2 months. Same happened after 3 month. The dealer tried to give me an explanation, but at the end it sounded like my fault for topping up THEIR oil level with the manual's recommendations.

2. 7 Months on, and 7km - Overheating problem. A sensor failed on the radiator! And caused the car to overheat. Damage to the engine?

Still waiting for the dealer to give me back my money.. I deemed this car unreliable... I have a wife and child to think about...!
