1987 Acura Integra LS 1.6 from North America

Summary:

Awesome, this car could run off of vinegar

Faults:

Rear Disc Brake, Water Pump, Exhaust, Driver's side window, other interior features.

General Comments:

Awesome. I bought this car for 500 bucks and have had it for 3 years, about 2 more than I thought it would last. It definitely has its problems, but that's only because it is so old and has so many miles on it. If I was going to say one thing about it, its that its too stupid to quit. You could not change the oil in this thing for 5 years and still have a running machine. Would get another one, only with lower mileage respectively (starts to lose its reliability at a quarter of a million :-) ).

I agree, being an owner of a Acura Integra. The vehicle is a mini tank and can take a beating. I am at 178800 miles and it still performs awesome!!

1987 Acura Integra LS 1.6 liter gasoline from North America

My timing belt went at 290 thousand K's.

General Comments:

This car was very quick and amazing on gas.

The interior was very nice.

I loved this car, I'm currently looking for a new one.

1987 Acura Integra LS 1.6 from North America

Summary:

Super Tank!

Faults:

Distributor Cap cracked.

Replaced both front and rear brakes.

Leaked small amount of oil from rear main.

Windshield wipers wouldn't stay down.

Driver's window came off track.

Rear window defroster did not work.

Throw out bearing went out at 212600 miles.

General Comments:

This car was absolute tank. The car is very quick for being a small 4 cylinder. I drove put over 25,000 miles on it within 4 months due to my job and this car took it well. Costs very little to maintain this car and I would buy another one any day.

1987 Acura Integra LX 1.6 DOHC from North America

Summary:

Good commuter car, uncomfortable for long trips

Faults:

The front brake pads have failed.

General Comments:

The car accelerates well, however, I expect more out of an Acura.

I drive approximately 400 miles a day and the car runs like a trooper.

The controls are well placed for the year, but I find that the seats are uncomfortable on long trips.

1987 Acura Integra LS 1.6 Liter from North America

Summary:

The car is a really great and fast car, and is very pleasing to have

Faults:

Since I've had the car my Clutch went out. I had to replace that and get it readjusted.

Apparently, my wiring was bad as well so I had to get new wiring harness for the car.

At first I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car, so I had to take it to a diagnostics center and that's what they came up with.

My Hatch doesn't work anymore, the air springs, or whatever they are, don't have the power to keep up the trunk at all.

My AC doesn't work, but it doesn't really bother me.

General Comments:

Overall, it is my first car ever, and for 1,000 its better than most cars that are out here for that price.

The car is very fast and it does extremely well, it has good gas mileage, and is a smooth ride.

There are problems that occur with the car, but its 17 years old and I expected that buying it, but there hasn't been anything major yet, so I'm pretty happy with the car.

1987 Acura Integra LS 1.6 from North America

Summary:

Great reliable low maintenance car

Faults:

Gears slipping from 3rd to 4th. Transmission eventually failed needed to replace with rebuilt. A/C slowly leaked out freon, needed to replace the whole compressor. Stayed with original R12 system and new system works great! Struts and shocks needed replacing. Rear seat headrests wear badly otherwise, great car.
