The same noise comes from mine, not sure what it is

- was guessing brakes or power steering.

Just got the car 3 days ago, so I hopes its not to serious, doesn't seem to be a problem though.

I have a 1988 Acura Legend Coupe that I have been driving for 12 years. It's a great car. A few days ago my clutch started acting funny, I only have 1/2 a pedal, and it pops out when released. I had the master cylinder clutch replaced at a cost of $350 at the dealer, I picked the car up and the clutch is doing the same thing. They told me the clutch was OK, after driving the car for 12 years I know how the clutch responds, they won't listen. Does anyone know what this could be.

I have a 1988 Acura Legend that runs great. I love this car. I currently am having a problem with starting it. It has the alarm system in it, but I don't have the remote. I know the alarm has the starter kill feature on it and I just need to know how to reset it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I didn't know people were paying so much for the car in that condition. I have one for sell for half that. I think I might raise the asking price.

I have an 88 Acura Legend also, and I would have to say it is by far the best car that I have put money into. It currently has 268,437 miles on it and is still running strong.

I drove it on a two day trip of 2,100 miles and had no problems at at all. Spent all but 250 in gas with a gallon being 2.50. Did 80 mph all the way.

Straight body and cloth interior. Wonderful car, wouldn't sell it for 10 grand if given the chance. She is a well greased running machine.

Just bought an 88 Legend for 200, and it takes forever to start, but it runs super nice, the gauge blinkers don't work, the interior is horrible, the body is straight, and oh yeah, it smokes. Any ideas for my problems?

You spent $200 on your car. That's the reason for your problems (to the previous commenter) :-)

Cheers.

I have a 1988 Acura Legend. Bought it from a guy whose wife drove it but not very often. Sat in a garage for a couple years.

After I bought it, I replaced the clutch and other minor parts along the way. I have been driving the car for about six months now, and recently discovered another clutch problem. So I took the motor out once again, put in a new master, slave, fly wheel and clutch in it. And now on the way to putting it back together, I can't get the clutch pedal to come all the way up. Have tried bleeding it several times. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a great car. I'm 17 in one month and I'm planning to buy an Acura. Either the 1994 Acura Legend or 2000 Acura Integra Type R. These both are very good in reviews, which is better?

Both have good reliability for their time. But are very different cars - the Legend is more luxury for cruising/relaxing in, long drives. The Integra is much more sporty with a tighter suspension. So depends what you want in a car.

If you're young and new to driving you should consider buying the newest Honda Civic or Accord that you can within budget.

A 1994 anything is going to require frequent work and won't be safe in an accident. Type Rs aren't cheap and insurance will be very costly.

I had a new one; no issue to nearly 100k miles. Then sunroof failed, heater core went, paint started going. Liked the power, reliability up to that point. Some things service wise got expensive.
