An endless money pit!
CV joint, some sort of modulator, starter, heater motor, driver's side seat belt buckle, passenger door lock, air conditing, stereo antenna motor, driver's side mirror stopped working, O2 sensor, the list goes on and on...
Buyer Beware.
Spend a few more bucks and save more in the long run...
Aside from the money spent, it has offered a comfortable ride.
It is reliable when it is not breaking down!
You bought a 13 year old car, what did you expect!
It's old and has high mileage. Plus there's the possibility that it was neglected or abused before you got it. You can't expect an older vehicle to be 100% reliable all the time. I've had two of these and they've both been great.
My grandparents have owned a 1990 Buick Lesabre Custom since it was new. It has been extremely well maintained. It now shows 184,000 miles on the odometer and looks better than cars half its' age. It runs very well and still gets 20+ mpg. It all depends on how you take care of a vehicle as to the kind of service you recieve from it.
Yeah, its 16 years old. With those high miles, and life, things are gonna wear out. Now, if you owned it right when it was brand new from a dealer, and it had unusual problems with such low miles, then yes, I can understand.
By the way, I own a 91 LeSabre, and it has 263,000 kms. I've had pretty well the same problems as the reviewer, plus more. Its nearing the point where everything wears out, and really, I'm not complaining. Still an excellent car, and I would buy another in this body style in a heartbeat.
I totally agree with the reviewer!! MONEY PIT!
I am getting one. It only has about 60,000 miles. An old lady owned it, so it was used much. Just needs new lines from sitting damage.
Old Lesabres are some of the cheapest transportation going. The original reviewer doesn't know anything.
The list is all items considered normal repairs! What do you want? The car is 19 years old. These cars are really reliable and get decent gas mileage.
