Switch the + current and ACC wires. This happened to me when I installed mine and I fixed it this way.

1993 Buick Regal GS 3.8 SFI from North America

Summary:

A modern day hot-rod family car

Faults:

Front side signals don't work.

Remote locks and trunk lid don't work.

Apparently, both are expensive to fix.

General Comments:

If you can put up with people thinking you are a senior citizen, good.

This buick is impressively powerful, very roomy, quiet and reliable.

They come very well equipped, leaving you wanting for nothing as far as options go. and the seating is great.

I'm 6' and my wife is 5', neither of us has any trouble positioning ourselves, and our daughter loves the huge backseat with its own armrest.

The GS suspension makes it feel like a smaller sports car, and although the brakes feel a little small, they do a very good job (most of us don't actually push our cars to their limits of performance that often to nitpick about things like that anyway).

This is my first buick, and first GM car, I'm sold on buicks, it's a great luxury tourer.

Need a family car on a budget, but don't want to give up your hot-rod?

This is a perfect compromise.

1993 Buick Regal GS 3.8L from North America

Summary:

A very reliable luxury sports sedan

Faults:

The air conditioning leaks.

Back brakes went bad.

Needed new spark plugs and wires.

Rear struts went bad.

Fuel pump relay went bad.

General Comments:

This car is surprisingly quick.

It is also very reliable.

The engine and transmission run as if they were new with over 300,000 miles on them.

I have never had any major work done on this car and it is still running strong.

I have never seen a car with this many miles still running, let alone running almost perfect.

I have a 1993 Buick Regal GS with 105000 miles and the car is powerful, yet I can get 25 miles to the gallon. It beat a 94 Ford mustang with a 3.8 engine in it. I also had to get the a/c fixed for $640, and the brake disks replaced. Most recently my drivers door handle broke. I also agree this is a great car.

I have a 93 Regal Custom with 210,000 miles on it. Everything major except the alternator is original, but just stumbled across some potential tranny problems. This car gets up and goes (when working properly). Some minor fixes include 2 electrical coils on the front of engine, and a wheel bearing. Can break the 110 mph gauge easily. Fun car.

This vehicle is the best I ever had and has the most miles I ever had. Drive one and you will see

The air conditioner valve leak.

This 3.8 liter V-6 runs like a horse.

Hitting bumps in the road won't effect you.

Very fast!!!

A real luxury sports sedan.
