2002 Cadillac Seville STS Northstar from North America

Summary:

Could be the best car ever made

Faults:

Just got the car and nothing's gone wrong (yet).

General Comments:

This has to be one of the finest automobiles ever made by anyone, ever.

It is supremely comfortable, handles beautifully and has incredible power.

Fortunately for me, this car depreciated very fast... I was able to get a car whose sticker MSRP in 2002 was $55,000... for only $21,000 from a Cadillac dealer in Sep. 2005. My car looks (and smells) brand new with only 43000 miles. It's also GM Certified which extends the b-to-b warranty to 100,000 miles... pretty nice deal... not worried about things that might break now.

I've owned Acura, Audi and Lexus in the past, but this car is converting me back to a GM guy. No kidding... it is that nice.

I'm age 50 now, so my car needs to be a bit on the comfy side for longer trips. I feel confident that I could drive the car for 8 hours and get out feeling totally refreshed.

I was a bit concerned about all I read re: vibration, but my car rides perfect at all speeds.

Have fun if you get one. Now I'll be looking forward to the year 2009 when I start looking for my used 2005 STS... probabaly pick it up for about $25K.

I agree. I bought mine use with 18k on it - it was like new. A couple scratches and nothing much else. I love it. It's like the perfect mix of performance and luxury. I know it can't be the best ever, but price, performance, reliability (thus far) are really unmatched. AND, it looks great. The sound system is tops and it gets up and goes. What else is there? I really do believe some negative comments (for all the manufacturers) are from people with agendas - some of these claims are just a bit much. Even low end cars aren't as bad as what they are trying to say.

2002 Cadillac Seville SLS 32V 4.7 Liter Northstar from North America

Summary:

Shamelessly opulent, gloriously appointed, a high-performance thoroughbred through and through

Faults:

This car has been flawless, no problems whatsoever.

General Comments:

I have had zero issues with my 2002 Cadillac Seville SRS. The car is absolutely flawless in every way. It's just awesome.

My SRS is on the highway five days a week, about 40 miles each way. If you are looking for a smooth riding vehicle, this is it. Handling and cornering are effortless, even in rain -- the Stabilitrak and traction control on this vehicle absolutely lives up to the hype. The computer-assisted rack and pinion steering automatically adjusts for speed and driving style, and if you've never experienced this, you're in for a treat. Smooth with a capital "S".

I did see a review here about someone who apparently had a lemon, my sympathies go out. They clearly have totally missed out on how beautiful these cars drive when they are in good shape.

This car is FAST. The 275 horse Northstar engine will absolutely throw you back in your seat, even at seventy or eighty miles per hour when passing. The engine wants to run, it does not like to be babied at all. Reliability has been very, very good for this particular car, I've had no problems at all with the motor.

I love this car, and I'll keep it forever or until the wheels fall off. I've driven more expensive sedans, but this car is the real deal. Just AWESOME. Get one, you'll see. ;)

I've never heard of a "Seville SRS". Do you mean "Seville STS"? that would make sense.

"I've never heard of a "Seville SRS". Do you mean "Seville STS"? that would make sense."

Regardless of his reason for making the same typo twice - he has an SLS. First off he stated he has the 275HP LD8 Northstar... secondly ( the title of the review says Seville "SLS."
