Would be nice if you were more specific with exact issues. I own 2 Silverados and they have been great. A 1500 work truck and a 2500HD. If a 2015 has so many issues, then I will buy a 2014 next.

So, what exactly went wrong with the car?

If I pay 40 grand for a vehicle, I think I'm entitled to some expectation that it will be perfect out of the box. If a company can't deliver on that, then they should have the expectation that I'll buy from somebody who can get it right.

I paid more than that, but I elaborated on my review. I had a recall on a 2004 Silverado dash cluster at no charge. Lack of perfection could be that you had a loose sun visor or the like.

To the person with high expectations for having paid $40,000. The amount of money paid is not necessarily related to a level of craftsmanship. Modern cars are being designed at a fast pace and there are countless of parts outsourced from various companies where the quality control is not always perfectly supervised. There is no such thing as a perfect car no matter how much money it costs - unless the company has a very dedicated CEO and management team, but even then there are issues. So people who believe they are (quoting) entitled, should think again. It's true it's hard earned money, but at the same time we are also asking for a lot from car makers and the industry is not what it was before Ford started the assembly line concept. These are cost cutting fast produced goods. No such thing as perfection. Remembers me about owners complaining about some electric cars being expensive but not having luxury interiors. That's because you are paying for new technology and also for expensive batteries. No money left for fancy interiors -- unless you'd want to add another $5-10$k to the price. Always think not by looking at your money, but by looking at the production facts.

I have a $157,000 import. Had an oil pan replaced under warranty at 2000 miles. Drove a loaner, got it fixed. Any car may have an issue. Thus a warranty. No cost to me.
