Driver and Passenger power window mechanisms fell apart.
Lost idler pulley.
Left rubber rear door seal falling off.
Squeaks when not turning right (suspect bad CV joint of wheel bearing).
Very comfortable car with great looks. Loads of interior room, huge trunk.
The 2.7L V6 seems to be a perfect match for the car. Enough power to motivate the full-sized semi-luxury sedan, yet still get 30-40 MPG. The engine compartment is well laid-out with just about everything easily accessible. It's slung quite low, so you need to ramp it or do a tight squeeze for shade-tree oil changes.
I am mulling over purchasing a used Concorde this month. It is 1999 lx version with the infamous 2.7L. In your review I noticed there were no mentions of the notorious "sludge" or "freeze" problems that are plastered all over consumer sites about this car. The vehicle has 87K and is is good shape. Just wondering, since the mileage is near the same as yours, if anything that could've gone wrong, has done so and how it's going so far? Thanks much!!
