A perfect car for all
My boot lock has seized up, I have to keep it closed now.
This is my favourite car, it looks great. It's a strong little car with the attitude to match. Very quick and nippy. Body kits look very cool and attractive.

Worst car I have ever had!
1. Alternator
2. Starter Motor
3. ignition switch
4. Dasboard lights.
5. Brakes
6. wheel bearings.
7. Seats wearing excessively.
You just never can trust the thing, one minute its OK when you started from your drive, the next when your wanting to come home you have to bump start it, luckily we always find a good hill to park it on. Always had problems electrically so we tend to not use it at night, just incase of something else going wrong with it.

Pocket Rocket
Got the car and it needed new drive-shaft, bit of welding on the rear right door wheel arch, and CV boots.
Amazing performance, with a huge amount of torque so goes straight away.
Close ratio gearing is great for fuel economy, driving at 20mph in 5th. get about 35-55mpg out of it.
Seats are very comfortable, hold you in position perfectly.
I don't think they re-designed the 4 door from the 2 door because if you put the passenger seat forward you can't change gear properly.
Apart from that amazing car that puts a smile on my face each time I even get in it.

Amazing performance out of a small engine!
Dash board light had all blown.
Water washer bottle motors packed up.
The second barrel on the carburetor didn't work.
The best car I've ever driven, its very fast more than capable of keeping up with bigger engined cars!
The tyres are not wide enough for the performance of the car.
The brakes could be better.
Lovely car for its age very comfortable and easy to drive.
Body work bit flimsy, dents very easily.

Not bad, but not great
Clutch cable snapped.
Horn not working.
General wear and tear on the interior.
Starting problems.
That's it so far, though it did need some tender loving care when I got it, and has had a complete service.
Initial acceleration is not bad, but the car seriously lacks top speed, and the 4 speed gearbox makes any sort of motorway journey a serious slog, and the pedals are badly placed. The tyres are thin and lack grip, especially in the wet, and rear view is a bit restricted. On the other hand it is nice, if not fun, to drive and parking is easy. Seats are quite comfortable, and fuel economy is excellent. As a city car it has a lot going for it, but don't expect it to set your pulse racing.

Lots of fun for little money
I have just bought the car this week and have had no problems so far.
This is the second AX GT I have owned, and I am even more chuffed with this one than I was with the first. I have gone for the phase 2 this time and it is more refined than the earlier models.
The car feels better built, but it does still rattle a bit when you hit a big bump, but I can honestly say this is the only gripe I have about the car.
Don't just take my word for it, or the word of everyone else who has written a review about the AX on here, this is one seriously quick and cheap car.
The car I have just bought is very clean and unmolested, I have big plans for this little rocket. So if you see a seriously modded AX, going very fast with a very happy young man behind the wheel, give me a wave.
