I have an 82 Rampage that I am rebuilding. There is a rampage club on yahoo called rampage runners.

This is my second 82 Rampage. Regretting trading the first one for the last 14 years or so. I purchased this one on ebay in the Virginia Beach area, but wound up being a California emissions model, go figure. This one is a 2.2 with auto instead of the 4 speed manual. Manual steering and no a/c on this one also. They are generally cheap to mechanically maintain and easy on gas. Hopefully in the next few weeks it will be roadworthy.

We have a 1984 Dodge Rampage with a 2.2L and automatic. It was my father's truck. He bought it new in Apr 84. He promised it to my daughter before he passed away. We are now trying to restore it and were wondering if anyone out there knows of a good online parts store. Thanks.

For the person looking for an online parts store... I just finished restoring a 1982 Rampage, and all of the parts (except for the cylinder head) came from NAPA. I have a store 2 miles away, but before I went I looked up the part on www.napaonline.com. They don't have a radiator, but that's the only part they don't list, but they said if I really needed one, they'd try to locate one for me. Give it a try.

I'm new to the Rampage... just bought a 83 with Prospector package. It is the 2.2 with 5 speed. Kinda rusty, but still pretty cool. I was looking for a cheap run around vehicle that I could haul some parts, etc. in and it looks like this should fit the bill nicely. I was hoping to find a club somewhere where I could get some info such as wheel options, body parts, ground effects, etc. Anybody know of a club? Ron.

I have a 84 Rampage with auto, cruise, a.c.. I was very happy to find it close to home. I bought a new one in 1984.But sold it to get away from the payment sense then I have had 2 others and a 82 scamp. I plan to keep this one and pass it on to my grand daughter.I'm glad to hear about the on line club.I'll check it out. thanks to who ever sent that in. I have seen radiators on line at 1984 rampage parts on go-ogle. Good luck to all with your Rampage. I am also looking for a rear bumper if anyone knows of one I'm at jdhi@bellsouth.net. Thanks.

I'm 17, and I bought my 1984 Rampage prospector last year and I love it!!! It's an amazing car!

Sadly the guy I bought it from didn't know about the recalled radio and broken am/fm button... So for the last year all I can listen to is Radio Disney (I'm a Rock girl). I finally got a brand new radio; it's a little bit small but will work... but I have one problem... does anyone have a wiring manual? The wires on the new radio will work, but are different colors and I don't want to go in and just test each color...

If you can help get to me at FlwrKdSami@aol.com. Thanks fellow Rampage lovers

A Rampage club would be nice for the Washington and Oregon area. I have three of them. All 83 with the 2.2 stripes and scoops. Plan on fixing all up in the future. Need others in the area to get together and assist each other in fixing up. Let me know Ted @ ted.thurlby@gmail.com

Live in the Seattle area.

I have 3 Rampages and a Scamp. My 83 Dodge has been updated to fuel injection and 134A freon. It has been completely restored and repainted. My 83 Plymouth Scamp is in line for updating next. You can easily update these to FI by using 88 or 89 Omni or Horizon parts. The harnesses are a direct changeover, as are the engines.

For the person trying to fix the shift linkage, I ordered replacement ends which are a drill and bolt. There was an article on the net explaining this. I can send info to assist you if needed.

My other Dodge Rampages are an 82 with auto and air, which is now disassembled and the body is being painted. The Dodge Rampage 84 is in the shop for a motor and injection swap.

If you need info or parts clarification, email me at teckmann@q.com

I am looking for someone, who owns a 83 Rampage. I bought a project one and have a manual, but it seems a lot of the wiring color codes are not matching up. Could someone be of help? I have a lot of wires and vacuum lines loose. Thanks.

Hi Gramma,

I just bought a 1982 Rampage off Ebay and I have also been looking for a club or forum to share ideas and perhaps parts. I purchased mine from a gentleman in AR and will be relocating it to WI. I intend to tow mine behind my motorhome.

By the way, I am also a grandparent. I'll look forward to talking in the future.

Harvey.

I bought my first 1983 Rampage the first day I saw it, and I was not even looking to buy a car/truck, but how could I pass it up? Prospector Edition, white, black stripes, hood and side scoops, A/C, automatic, cruise. Unreal. Owned it for 16 years and then sold it to a Dodge collector in Missouri and always wished I had not. Almost two years ago now, on Christmas day I found the spittin' image of my first one on Ebay at a dealer in Wisconsin and bought it. It's like having a family member back again when I see it in the garage. Just had the seats re-upholstered with the original black/red striped material. Cost 600 just for the original material, plus labor, but who cares. This is my baby.

I have a 1983 Rampage. I'm looking for the weather stripping and window channel for it; can't seem to find them any place. If anyone knows where I can get or find them, I need both sides, the driver and passenger side. Thank you.

Sorry to say I purchased the last ones in North America from Dodge dealer. Parts for these cars are obsolete, but you can still buy engine and tranny parts and suspension parts. I know that Dodge still has two turbo hoods in the States.

Read your comment. I noticed that you said you had your seats redone. I also had mine redone just like yours. Mine cost 800 to redo and I had the original red material. He did a good job. Have them in my 84. Purchased mine in northern Washington state. 80k on vehicle. If you get this I can send a picture of it. I enjoy sharing info on these vehicles. Have 3 total.
